The sheep are on track! Time to munch it down and clear it of parasites ready for the ponies! π
Spring is coming! ππ·πΈπΌπ¦
We use the sheep to eat the majority of the grass before the horses to go back on track, to ensure the horses avoid eating sugary grass and in turn making it suitable for any laminitics. π±π΄
The sheep also help to hoover up any horse worm eggs. The horse worm eggs can't hatch in the sheep, so this ends their life cycle π
We hugely recommend cross grazing sheep with horses for worm burden and grass control. However, not at pasture at the same time unless you know the horse is sheep friendly, and even then not on a track system where the sheep can't get away.
